On January 10, 2023, it was announced that the TIA is collaborating with the Cincinnati Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired (CABVI) to provide training and education programs to those with visual impairments.

These education programs are specifically geared to train students in the fundamentals of supply chain and freight management. Students will learn professional and executive skill sets needed for employment within the freight brokerage industry. The goal of the TIA and CABVI is to help the blind and visually impaired to not only experience new types of job opportunities, but to also achieve independence.

TIA President and CEO, Anne Reinke, stated:

“These are good jobs in a growing, thriving, and exciting industry with a well-designed career path. With hard work, relationship building and time management–there is often uncapped earning potential for individuals in this role. We are excited to be working with CABVI and establishing this amazing opportunity for all those interested.”

Those who complete these programs will have access to employment opportunities, sign-on bonuses, and post-course opportunities.

The TIA’s commitment to community and helping others are reasons HG Logistics is proud to have been a member of their organization for the past 16 years and have continued our membership into 2023.

Thank you TIA for investing in our local community.
