Logan Heller-Another Successful Year Battling Brain Cancer #GrayMay

HG Logistics LLC proudly recognizes #GrayMay alongside more than 1.3 million individuals affected by brain tumors—whether personally or through someone they love.

The Go Gray in May campaign holds deep meaning for our team. Logan Heller, son of our Director of Operations, Duke Heller, has been courageously battling brain cancer since the age of eleven. In November 2015, Logan was diagnosed with a Juvenile Pilocytic Astrocytoma (JPA). He underwent a craniotomy and 28 rounds of radiation therapy. While part of the tumor remains inoperable due to its location in the brain stem, Logan has continued treatment through use of chemotherapy drugs, which has successfully reduced and stabilized the tumor to 2 cm.

Logan works closely with an incredible team at Children’s Hospital, and there is continued hope that soon he will no longer need treatment while the tumor remains dormant. Currently, doctors are in the process of slowly weaning Logan off the chemotherapy drugs, and the outcome is looking positive. Despite years of therapy, Logan has experienced minimal side effects—aside from one noticeable change: his hair has grown curly.

Through it all, Logan has remained remarkably positive and resilient. He stays active by working out, bowling, and maintaining a full-time job. Earlier this month, he started a new position that he truly enjoys.

Each year, HG Logistics LLC is honored to share Logan’s inspiring progress. We encourage everyone to support the Go Gray in May campaign and help bring hope to others facing similar battles.
